Casa San Boldo Apartments to
rent
There are two lovely apartments and a delightful
neighborhood that provide the very best in contemporary
Venetian vacation living. The two flats to
rent are called Grimani (up to 7 people) and Loredan (up tp 4 people), and they are part of the
same nineteenth century Palazzo that rises between
Campo San Polo and Campo San Giacomo dall'Orio,
near Rialto Bridge, in the historic center of
Venice.
The residential complex also includes a pleasant
garden equipped with a table and chairs for outdoor
dining, as well as a tennis court and club house
which can be booked by guests.
The Venetian palazzo, once surrounded by canals,
gained its present aspect as the result of extensive reconstruction
during the Napoleonic era. A complete restoration by the present
owners preserved all the elegance typical of Venetian
palaces, but also installed up-to-date technology,
resulting in a marvelous standard of living.

Venice: the Rialto Bridge and
San Polo district
Grimani and Loredan apartments are located in the very heart of Venice, in the Sestiere
(neighbourhood) of San Polo, heart of the
commercial Venice and the smallest of the venetian
sestieri, reached by crossing the Rialto Bridge
spanning the Grand Canal.
The shopping here is much less expensive than in the boutiques
around Piazza San Marco. One of the major
attractions is the Erbaria, which
Casanova wrote about in his 18th century
biography. Both wholesale and retail markets still pepper this
ancient site. At its center is the church of San Giacomo di
Rialto, the oldest in the city. The district also includes
Frari’s Church and the Scuola Grande
di San Rocco, a repositary of the works of
Tintoretto. Campo San Polo is one
of the oldest and widest squares in Venice and is
one of the principal venues for Carnival.

Venice and its life
Other cities have non-stop nightlife, world-class football teams
and ethnic enclaves. Venice has none of these
things; but it does possess the huge advantage of being Venice.
This city imitates nobody but itself.
In fact, there is no other place in the world like Venice, a city
made up of 118 tiny islands separated by some 150
canals crossed by more than 400 bridges.
Venice is a city which has something for
everyone.
If you love cultural events you cannot miss one of the two big
exhibition held every year at Palazzo Grassi; also
the spectacular Historical Regatta and the popular
Vogalonga along the Grand Canal
are events that must be seen at least once in your life.
We cannot describe the emotions and the happiness Venetian
feel when they gather in front of San
Marco with their boats for the night of the
Redentore and its enchanting fireworks.
The international Film Festival or the
Biennale of Art are increasing in their popularity
and success: during these days Venice seems to be
the center of the word and becomes as colorful and
crowded as possible.
If you love instead a more intimate atmosphere
you’ll probably prefer autumn and winter: for a while the
city is calm and quite and you can walk along the calle together
with the sounds of water running in the canals.
Anyway Venetians tend to appreciate feasts, fears, good
food and tasteful wine: that ‘s way
Venice is plenty of little restaurants,
osterias and bācari where you can
have joyful lunches and rich dinners
